Warm 12-Fret J-45 Response With a Satin Ebony Finish

The Gibson J-45 Century 12-Fret in Satin Ebony gives the round-shoulder J-45 design a more responsive 12-fret neck-to-body layout. Its Sitka spruce top and mahogany back and sides produce a warm, balanced acoustic voice with strong note-to-note clarity, while the thin satin nitrocellulose lacquer finish keeps the feel smooth and understated.

The 12-fret design changes the way the guitar responds. By placing the bridge plate closer to the wider, more active area of the body, the J-45 Century 12-Fret produces a warmer, punchier and more resonant sound than a standard 14-fret layout. This makes the guitar especially useful for fingerstyle players, lighter pick attack and vocal accompaniment where easy dynamic response matters more than maximum top-end cut.

The mahogany neck has a SlimTaper 12-Fret profile for a comfortable fretting-hand feel across the 24.75" scale length. A 19-fret rosewood fingerboard, mother-of-pearl dot inlays, bone nut and saddle, TUSQ bridge pins, rectangle rosewood bridge, L-00 style pickguard and 3-on-a-plate tuners with cream buttons complete the vintage-leaning acoustic setup. A Century Series tweed hardshell case is included.
