Classic Hummingbird Character with a More Natural Amplified Response

The Gibson Hummingbird Standard HiFi DNA in Vintage Sunburst pairs a solid Sitka spruce top with solid mahogany back and sides and traditional scalloped X-bracing. Its square-shoulder body is built for a rich, full acoustic response that can handle firm rhythm strumming as comfortably as more detailed picking, while the gloss nitrocellulose lacquer and iconic Hummingbird pickguard give it an instantly recognisable look.

The mahogany neck has a Rounded profile with a 628.65 mm (24.75") scale, 304.8 mm (12") Indian rosewood fingerboard radius and 20 standard frets. Mother-of-pearl Parallelogram inlays, multi-ply body binding and single-ply fingerboard binding add traditional detailing, while the rosewood Reverse Belly bridge, TUSQ nut, saddle and bridge pins, and nickel Grover Rotomatic tuners complete the hardware.

The Baggs HiFi DNA system uses two lightweight sensors mounted to the internal bridge plate, each feeding its own optimised preamp. By capturing both string detail and soundboard movement, it is designed to preserve more of the guitar’s body resonance, warmth and dynamic response when amplified. Soundhole-mounted volume and tone controls provide easy adjustment without interrupting the Hummingbird’s traditional appearance.
