Part of the Burstbucker line introduced in the early 1990s, the Type 2 captures the nuances of true, classic humbucker tone with historically unbalanced coil windings and Alnico 2 magnets. Delivering an airy, full tone with magical distortion when overdriven, it retains the slightly enhanced highs that made the originals famous.
Ideal for the either the neck or bridge position, the Burstbucker Type 2 boasts a medium output, providing a warm and articulate response. Like its counterparts, it features vintage braided two-conductor wiring and is left unpotted, preserving its authentic character.
