High-Headroom Drive with Deep EQ Control

The Fender Santa Ana Overdrive V2 is an analogue JFET Class A overdrive pedal that runs at 18V internally from a 9V centre negative AC adaptor (not included). The JFET-based drive engine is designed for touch sensitivity and high-headroom, tube-like response, giving players tight overdrive for rhythm work and thicker lead sounds from one pedal.

Two voices shape the gain character. Voice A gives a natural-sounding tight overdrive, while Voice B produces smoother, thicker lead tones. The Drive and Tone controls adjust gain level and treble presence, while the rear Tight switch removes some pre-drive bass frequencies for a more focused drive feel.

The independently switchable 3-band EQ adds active Bass, Middle and Treble controls with centre detents for flat response. The EQ Placement switch lets the EQ sit before the drive to change how frequencies clip, or after the drive to shape the finished gain sound more dramatically. Buffered and true bypass modes, multiswitch latching or momentary footswitch action, top-mounted jacks and a road-ready aluminium enclosure round out the pedal.
