Create a Traditional SSS Stratocaster with Individual Road-Worn Character
The Fender Road Worn ’50s Stratocaster body gives a vintage-style build an immediately played-in appearance. Its Black Nitrocellulose Lacquer finish is distressed by hand, so every body has its own combination of wear and ageing rather than following an identical pattern.
Alder construction provides a balanced, lively foundation that suits clean single-coil sounds, driven rhythm work and expressive lead tones. The body is routed for an SSS pickup configuration, and the shielded cavities help prepare it for the electronics installation. Familiar Stratocaster contours keep the finished instrument comfortable while sitting or standing.
The six-screw vintage-style synchronised tremolo mount uses 56.4 mm (2-7/32”) spacing, while the four-bolt neck pocket accepts compatible Fender or Squier components. Pickguard mounting holes are not pre-drilled, allowing the final screw pattern to match the selected compatible pickguard.
At Riffs & Licks Music, we think this Stratocaster replacement body works well for builders seeking traditional SSS routing, vintage bridge geometry and a Black Road Worn finish with genuinely individual wear.
