Fender Player II Jazz Bass MN Cactus Gray

Fast Jazz Bass Playability with Clear Alnico 5 Punch

The Fender Player II Jazz Bass MN Cactus Gray is a 34” (864 mm) scale electric bass built for players who want a quick neck, balanced body response and the familiar bite of dual Jazz Bass single-coils. The alder body gives the bass a clear, even foundation, while the Player Series Alnico 5 pickups deliver sweet highs, growling mids and strong low-end response for fingerstyle grooves, picked rock lines and tighter funk parts.

The Modern C maple neck has a smooth, practical feel, and the satin urethane back finish helps you move more easily up and down the neck when shifting between positions. The 38.1 mm (1.5”) nut width is a big part of the Jazz Bass appeal, giving the first few frets a slimmer, faster feel than wider-necked bass designs.

The maple fingerboard adds a snappy feel under the fingers, while the 241 mm (9.5”) radius and 20 medium jumbo frets give the playing surface a more modern feel for clean fretting and confident movement. Two pickup volumes and a master tone make it easy to blend rounder middle-pickup warmth with sharper bridge-pickup definition.

At Riffs & Licks Music, we think this Jazz Bass is best for players who want a comfortable modern bass with a slim nut, clear Alnico 5 pickup response and enough tonal control to cover rock, funk, pop and everyday gigging.
