Fender John 5 Signature Phantom Telecaster Black

High-Gain Telecaster Power with Double-Locking Tremolo Control

The Fender John 5 Signature Phantom Telecaster takes the Telecaster platform into modern hard-rock territory with a Nyatoh body, Black finish and matching headcap. DiMarzio D'Activator humbuckers at the neck and bridge are voiced for the impact of active pickups while retaining strong dynamics, delivering tight lows, searing clarity and harmonically rich crunch under gain.

The Custom John 5 Medium “C” Maple neck has a Satin finish and pairs with an Ebony fingerboard, 304.8 mm (12") radius, 22 narrow tall frets and a 648 mm (25.5") scale. The flatter radius gives bends and faster lead work plenty of room, while the 43 mm (1.69") locking nut anchors the double-locking setup. A Floyd Rose FRTS2000 Special Series tremolo locks the strings at the nut and bridge for aggressive pull-ups and dive bombs with strong tuning stability. Controls stay stripped back with a Master Volume, 3-position pickup toggle and killswitch that cuts the signal while engaged for rhythmic stutter effects. Black hardware and a signature neck plate complete the build.

At Riffs & Licks Music, we think this signature electric guitar is built for players who want high-output humbuckers, a fast flat-radius neck and serious pitch control without cluttering the layout with unnecessary controls.
