Authentic 1961 Stratocaster Feel with a Slab Rosewood Fingerboard

The Fender American Vintage II 1961 Stratocaster replacement neck is built for players restoring or converting a Fender or Squier Stratocaster to a more authentic early-'60s feel. Its maple construction is paired with a slab rosewood fingerboard, clay dot inlays and a 1961 Medium C profile, recreating the neck character associated with Fenders from that period.

A 184.1 mm (7.25") fingerboard radius gives the neck the rounder playing surface found on vintage Fender instruments, while 21 Vintage Tall frets add a little extra fret height without moving away from the traditional layout. The 648 mm (25.5") scale maintains standard Stratocaster geometry, and the gloss nitrocellulose lacquer finish reinforces the period-inspired feel in the hand.

The bone nut arrives pre-slotted only with pilot string-location grooves, so the final nut slots still need to be cut during installation. As with any replacement neck, fitting to the neck pocket, fret work and a complete setup may also be required. A vintage-style butt-adjust truss rod and four-bolt mounting complete the construction.
