Fender American Professional Jazz Bass V 5-String Bass RW 3-Colour Sunburst

Five-String Jazz Bass Range with a Slim Rosewood-Board Neck

The Fender American Professional Jazz Bass V brings the familiar punch and clarity of a Jazz Bass into a five-string format. Two V-Mod III Jazz Bass V single coils feed separate volume controls and a Master Tone, so you can favour either pickup or blend the pair to suit the part. ClassicGear Precision Potentiometers keep those adjustments smooth and consistent.

The Maple neck uses a Slim “C” profile with rolled Rosewood fingerboard edges and a “Super-Natural” satin urethane finish on the back. A 241 mm (9.5") radius and 20 Narrow Tall frets keep the fingerboard familiar, while the 47.6 mm (1.875") Bone nut accommodates the five-string layout across the 864 mm (34") scale. The sculpted heel also improves access higher up the neck.

The Alder body wears a 3-Colour Sunburst polyurethane finish with a 4-ply Tortoiseshell pickguard. A 5-saddle HiMass Pro bridge supports either string-through-body or top-load stringing. A Deluxe Moulded Case is included.

At Riffs & Licks Music, we think this Jazz Bass V is a strong fit for players who want five-string range while keeping the straightforward passive controls, slim neck and pickup blending of a Jazz Bass.
