The Fender American Pre-Wired Stratocaster Pickguard is a right-handed HSS assembly designed for players who want a wider range of Stratocaster sounds without building a new wiring harness from individual components. The 3-ply parchment 11-hole pickguard comes loaded with a Quadra Tap 1 humbucker in the bridge position and 70th Anniversary Ultra Noiseless Strat pickups in the neck and middle positions.

The Ultra Noiseless single-coil pickups provide clear Stratocaster-style tones with reduced hum, making the neck and middle positions practical for clean rhythm work, detailed lead sounds and lower-noise recording. The Quadra Tap 1 bridge humbucker adds four distinct passive voices, ranging from warmer vintage-inspired response to hotter output for heavier rhythm and lead tones.

The S-1 switch in the volume knob splits the bridge humbucker into a single-coil voice, while the S-1 switch in the first tone knob activates the hotter voicing in both humbucking and split modes. Compared with a standard HSS pickguard, this assembly gives players more control over bridge pickup output and texture without adding active electronics. A treble bleed circuit helps preserve high-frequency clarity as the volume is reduced.

Installation is straightforward if swapping like for like pickguards (11-hole): remove the existing pickguard, connect two wires and mount the new assembly.
