The Fender American Custom Shop Troposphere Stratocaster Pickups set was developed by Master Builder Paul Waller for players who want a more open, responsive Stratocaster voice. These underwound single-coils offer vintage output with extra headroom, helping overdriven sounds stay clearer while still cleaning up for delicate tones.

Alnico 5 magnets add focus and enhanced dynamics, while the wire configuration blends ’50s and ’60s Strat character, with Formvar-coated wire on the bridge and middle pickups and plain enamel wire on the neck pickup. Staggered unbevelled pole pieces help balance volume and output across the strings.

The reverse-wound middle pickup helps eliminate hum in positions 2 and 4, making the classic in-between Strat sounds more practical. Cloth-covered leads, fibre bobbins and wax potting complete the vintage-style construction, with installation hardware included.
