Restore a Substantial Early-’50s Neck Feel

This Fender ’50s Esquire replacement neck brings a fuller Early ’50s U profile to compatible Fender or Squier guitars. Measuring 22.35 mm (.880”) thick at the first fret and 25.15 mm (.990”) at the twelfth, it fills the hand more than a slim modern neck and gives chords, bends and rhythm work a planted feel.

The one-piece Maple construction includes a Walnut skunk stripe, Maple fingerboard, 184.1 mm (7.25”) radius and 21 vintage-style frets. Its satin urethane back supports smooth position changes, while the gloss front and authentic Esquire headstock decal preserve the period presentation. A 648 mm (25.5”) scale and 42 mm (1.650”) bone nut complete the traditional layout.

The nut has pilot string grooves but requires final slot cutting by qualified professionals. Neck-pocket fitting, fret work and a complete setup may also be necessary. Six vintage-style two-screw tuner holes are pre-drilled.
