High-Stability Rock Performance With Fast Lead Feel
The EVH Wolfgang Special in Smoked Mesquite is a high-performance electric guitar built for articulate humbucker tone, fast neck work, and stable tremolo use. Its arched basswood body keeps the response controlled and focused, while the graphite-reinforced quartersawn baked maple neck adds strength for players who use heavy picking, wide bends, and aggressive vibrato.
The ebony fingerboard has a 12" to 16" compound radius, which gives chord work and rhythm playing a comfortable feel in the lower register while flattening out for bends and faster lead lines higher up the neck. Jumbo frets, a hand-rubbed satin urethane neck back, and a heel-mounted truss rod wheel support quick movement and easier setup adjustments.
Direct-mount EVH Wolfgang humbuckers provide a dynamic, sustaining voice for powerful chords and defined melody lines. The EVH-branded Floyd Rose locking tremolo, R2 locking nut, brass tremolo block, and D-Tuna support strong tuning stability through extreme pitch changes and fast drop-D switching.
