Ultra-high-strength steel is used throughout both the wound and plain strings, giving the set greater resistance to the stresses of hard playing without changing the basic character players expect from Slinkys.

The plain strings also use a patented reinforcement at the ball-end twist, strengthening an area that can otherwise be vulnerable under repeated bending and heavy use.
