A Modern Les Paul Built for Speed, Lower Tunings and Three Distinct Fluence Voices
The Epiphone Prophecy Les Paul in Crimson Fog Satin keeps the familiar Les Paul outline but reworks the platform around modern playing demands. Its Ultra Modern weight-relieved mahogany body is topped with a maple cap and highly flamed maple veneer, while a rear belly carve and Modern Contoured Heel make the guitar sit more comfortably against you and give your fretting hand more room as you move into the upper register.
The thermally aged one-piece maple neck uses a fast HyperGlide profile, graphite reinforcement and a 647.7 mm (25.5") scale. That longer scale adds useful tension and definition for drop tunings, helping lower notes stay firmer under the pick. A bound ebony fingerboard with a 254–355.6 mm (10"–14") compound radius and 24 stainless-steel frets gives the neck a smooth, durable surface that becomes progressively flatter higher up for lead work and bends.
The custom-voiced Fishman Fluence pickups are where the Prophecy’s versatility really opens up. Each pickup has three tonal voices: Voice 1 provides a modern high-output active humbucker sound, Voice 2 shifts to a vintage PAF-inspired humbucker character, and Voice 3 delivers the optimised single-coil-inspired sound. The push/pull tone controls switch between Voices 1 and 2, while the push/pull volume controls select Voice 3 for their respective pickups, giving you much more range than a conventional two-humbucker Les Paul.
Grover Locking Rotomatic tuners, a GraphTech nut and LockTone Modern Tune-O-Matic bridge anchor the hardware package, while the through-body Frequensator-influenced tailpiece is designed to balance string tension, sustain and bending feel. Black hardware and black mother-of-pearl block inlays sharpen the contrast against the Crimson Fog Satin finish.
At Riffs & Licks Music, we think the Prophecy Les Paul is a strong fit for players who want the weight and authority of a Les Paul-style guitar without being tied to vintage specifications. The longer scale, contoured body, stainless-steel frets and three-voice Fluence system make it especially capable for modern high-gain work, lower tunings and players who need several distinct sounds from one instrument. A Protector Ultralite case is included.
