27" Baritone Scale Meets Modern Les Paul Performance

The Epiphone Prophecy Les Paul Baritone in Obsidian Storm Satin takes the familiar Les Paul platform into a lower register with a 685.8 mm (27") scale. Set up for modern baritone tunings such as B to B / Drop A, the longer scale maintains useful string tension and definition while letting guitarists keep familiar chord shapes and playing techniques as they move into a deeper range.

The mahogany body uses Ultra Modern weight relief beneath a maple cap and highly flamed maple veneer, with a rear belly carve helping the guitar sit more comfortably against you. A Modern Contoured Heel removes some of the bulk around the neck joint for easier upper-fret access. The thermally aged one-piece maple neck is reinforced with graphite rods and shaped to a HyperGlide B profile, while the ebony fingerboard uses a 254–355.6 mm (10"–14") compound radius and 24 stainless-steel frets for smooth movement from rhythm work into higher-register lead playing.

Custom-voiced Fishman Fluence humbuckers give the Prophecy three distinct tonal directions: modern high-output active humbucker, vintage PAF-inspired humbucker and clearer single-coil-inspired voices. Each pickup has its own push/pull volume control for activating the single-coil coil splitting, while the two tone controls select between the humbucking pickup voicings. This makes it possible to move from tight, heavy baritone sounds into leaner or more traditional textures without changing guitars.

Grover Locking Rotomatic tuners, a GraphTech nut and LockTone Modern Tune-O-Matic bridge handle the string path, while the through-body Frequensator-influenced tailpiece is designed to balance tension and sustain. Posi-Lok strap buttons and black hardware complete the performance-focused setup.
