Classic Mastertone Styling with Mahogany Resonator Construction

The Epiphone Inspired by Mastertone Classic takes its cues from the Gibson RB-3 Mastertone 5-string banjos of the 1930s, combining traditional resonator construction with the ornate details associated with that style. A three-ply turned mahogany rim and mahogany resonator form the core of the instrument, while the Remo 11" frosted head and brass Mastertone-style tone ring give the banjo the hardware foundation for a strong, projecting voice.

The mahogany C-profile neck carries a Laurel fingerboard with 22 Narrow/Medium frets, decorated with mother-of-pearl Style 3 inlays and a Mastertone Block at the end of the board. The Gibson Fiddle Cut headstock is finished with Epiphone branding and mother-of-pearl Diamonds and Squares, tying the visual presentation closely to classic Mastertone design.

Nickel hardware keeps the look traditional, with planetary tuners and pearloid buttons, a straight-line tailpiece and a five-string maple bridge with ebony cap. Dual coordinator rods provide adjustment through the rim, while the dual-action truss rod gives further control over the neck setup.
