The Epiphone Inspired By Custom Shop Les Paul Custom Amethyst Sparkle is your classic Les Paul - a solidbody electric guitar built around the familiar punch and sustain of a mahogany body with a maple top. Mahogany gives the guitar its thick midrange foundation, while the maple cap adds brightness, clarity and attack, so big chords keep their edge instead of losing definition under gain.

The SlimTaper mahogany neck gives the playability a quicker, less chunky feel than a baseball bat neck, which suits players who want Les Paul weight and sustain with a faster neck profile. The ebony fingerboard feels direct under the fingers, and the 304.8 mm (12”) radius with 22 medium jumbo frets works well for bends, vibrato and cleaner movement across the neck.

Gibson 490R and 498T humbuckers give the guitar a strong dual-humbucker voice for thick cleans, rock rhythm and singing lead parts. The long neck tenon, LockTone Tune-O-Matic bridge and LockTone Stop Bar help the guitar feel planted when you dig into heavy rhythm playing.
