Raw P-90 Character in a Lightweight Double-Cut Les Paul Format
The Epiphone Inspired by Custom Shop 1960 Les Paul Special Double Cut Reissue in TV White captures one of the leanest, most direct versions of the Les Paul idea. Its slab mahogany body and double-cutaway shape strip the design back to the essentials, while the one-piece mahogany set neck and bound rosewood fingerboard add the refinement that separated the Special from the simpler Junior.
The 60s SlimTaper neck profile gives the guitar a quicker, slimmer feel through the hand, matched with 22 Medium Jumbo frets and a 304.8 mm (12") fingerboard radius. That combination is equally at home with open-position rhythm work and bends further up the neck, while the double-cut body gives you easy access across the full fretboard. A Graph Tech nut and Epiphone Deluxe three-on-a-plate tuners with white buttons complete the vintage-inspired neck and headstock setup.
Two Gibson Custom USA P-90 Soapbar pickups give the Special its defining voice. They can stay open and articulate when played clean, then push into a rawer, more aggressive midrange when the amp is driven. Each pickup has its own volume and tone control using CTS potentiometers and Bumblebee paper-in-oil capacitors, with a three-way Switchcraft selector keeping the switching simple.
The historical wraparound bridge includes intonation adjustment screws, retaining the compact simplicity of the original design while giving you more control over setup. Black soapbar covers, a wide-bevel five-ply pickguard, nickel hardware and the TV White Vintage Gloss finish complete the period-correct look.
