The Epiphone 1942 Banner J-45 Reissue captures the authentic tone and design of the classic ’42 Gibson J-45 in a more accessible instrument. Crafted with a thermally aged solid Sitka spruce top and solid mahogany back and sides, it delivers rich, balanced tone with a seasoned resonance. The neck is a single piece of thermally aged mahogany, carved in a comfortable “V” profile, with a 12″ radius Indian rosewood fingerboard and 19 frets for smooth playability. Heritage details like scalloped X-bracing, single-ply ivory binding, mother-of-pearl dot inlays, and a tortoiseshell pickguard enhance its vintage appeal. It also features an L.R. Baggs Element Bronze VTC pickup system with volume and tone controls mounted in the soundhole.
