A longer-scale solidbody that stays tight when you tune down

The Epiphone Futura RD Custom Midnight Ember Shift leans into a firmer, more controlled response, especially when you start dropping tunings. The 25.5" scale length adds extra tension, so the low end doesn’t get loose, and notes hold together better when you’re running higher gain or tracking layered rhythm parts.

The neck has a Modern C profile that feels comfortable and natural — it’s one of those profiles you don’t really think about. The ebony board is a bit quicker than rosewood, and it responds cleanly whether you’re playing tighter rhythm parts or pushing into bends further up the neck. The longer scale also gives everything a slightly more immediate feel under your hands.

The ProBucker Ignite pickups have enough output to handle heavier sounds, but they stay articulate. That helps when you’re working through more precise riffs or recording multiple takes that need to sit clearly together. Coil split and phase switching give you access to leaner, more cutting tones when needed, without overcomplicating the setup.
