The Epiphone Futura Les Paul Custom Midnight Ember Shift balances weight and clarity in a way that works well once you start pushing an amp. The mahogany body and maple cap combination gives you that familiar low-end push, but there’s enough top-end detail to keep chords from collapsing into each other, especially when you’re stacking parts or playing in a full band.

The neck has a Modern C profile that feels comfortable and natural — it’s one of those profiles you don’t really think about. The ebony board is a bit quicker than rosewood, and bends higher up feel clean without needing much effort. The contoured heel also helps when you’re moving further up the neck, so it doesn’t feel boxed in when you’re playing lead lines.

The ProBucker Ignite pickups lean toward a stronger output, but they don’t get muddy. They hold onto definition under gain, which makes tighter rhythm work feel more controlled. Coil split and phase switching open things up when needed, giving you more usable variations without overcomplicating things.

LockTone hardware and locking tuners keep everything stable, so once it’s dialled in, you’re not chasing tuning between songs or takes.
