A solidbody that balances punch, clarity, and control across a wide range of tones

The Epiphone Futura Les Paul Custom Firestorm Shift keeps that familiar Les Paul-style depth but adds a bit more flexibility to how it responds. The mahogany body with a maple cap gives you a strong low-end and midrange, with enough top-end presence to keep things from sounding too thick. Chords stay clear when you add gain, and single notes carry well, whether you’re playing rhythm parts or stepping out for leads.

The neck has a Modern C profile that feels comfortable and natural — it’s one of those profiles you don’t really think about. Up the neck, it stays easy to work with thanks to the contoured heel, so higher frets don’t feel cramped. The ebony board has a slightly quicker feel than rosewood, and the compound radius helps everything feel even as you move between chord work and bends. Stainless steel frets keep that feel consistent over time and wear much slower than standard nickel frets.

The ProBucker Ignite pickups bring a bit more push, but they stay controlled. There’s enough output for heavier sounds, but they hold onto clarity, which helps when you’re layering parts or playing more detailed lines. With coil split and phase options available, you can pull things back into leaner or more cutting tones without needing to change guitars mid-set. It gives you more range without making things complicated. LockTone hardware and locking tuners keep tuning stable and predictable, so once it’s set up, it stays that way.
