A semi-hollow that handles volume and versatility without feeling delicate

The Epiphone Futura ES-355 Thinline Semi-Hollowbody is aimed at players who like the openness of a semi-hollow but don’t want to fight it when the volume goes up. The layered maple and poplar body, combined with a centre block, keeps the sound focused enough that notes stay defined under gain, whether you’re gigging with a loud band or pushing an amp to the edge of breakup in the studio. It still lets some of that natural resonance come through, so it doesn’t feel overly compressed or restricted.

The mahogany neck has a Modern C profile that sits comfortably in the hand. The ebony fingerboard adds a slightly firmer response than Rosewood, and the compound radius keeps things feeling consistent as you move up the neck — chords down low, cleaner bends further up. Stainless steel frets help it hold that feel over time, which matters if you’re rehearsing regularly or playing longer sets.

The ProBucker Ignite pickups are clear and balanced, with enough output to cover driven sounds without losing note separation.
