EMG KH-BB Kirk Hammett Signature Bone Breaker Active Humbucker Set Long Shaft 19mm Spectrum Metal Cap

Bone Breaker Gain with Long-Shaft Fitment and a Limited Spectrum Finish

The EMG Kirk Hammett Bone Breaker Active Humbucker Set combines the BB-B Ceramic bridge pickup with the BB-N Alnico 5 neck pickup, using different magnet types and revised preamp voicing to keep aggressive high-gain sounds from sacrificing cleaner response. The bridge delivers the sharper, more crushing side of the set, while the neck shifts towards a smoother, rounder tone for rhythm and lead work.

This long-shaft version uses 19 mm controls for Les Paul-style installations where the electronics need to pass through a thicker carved-top body. The 2026 Spectrum metal caps mark EMG’s 50th anniversary, giving the set a limited-edition multicoloured finish rather than the usual pickup-cover look.

EMG’s Solderless Install System is included, with two 25k volume pots, two 25k tone pots, battery bus, stereo output jack, two-pickup in/out bus, mounting screws and springs, pickup cables, connect cables, output cable and battery cable.

At Riffs & Licks Music, we think this active humbucker set makes the most sense for players who want the Bone Breaker sound in a long-shaft installation, with high-gain attack from the bridge, a smoother neck voice and a limited-edition Spectrum finish.
