EMG KH-BB Kirk Hammett Signature Bone Breaker Active Humbucker Set Short Shaft 10mm Spectrum Metal Cap

Bone Breaker Output with a Limited-Edition Spectrum Metal Cap

The EMG Kirk Hammett Bone Breaker Active Humbucker Set pairs the BB-B Ceramic bridge pickup with the BB-N Alnico 5 neck pickup, combining two magnet types with revised preamp voicing to balance high-gain attack with usable cleaner sounds. The bridge is geared towards crisp, crushing lead and rhythm tones, while the neck brings a smoother, rounder response when you switch positions.

This 2026 limited-edition version celebrates EMG’s 50th anniversary with a Spectrum metal cap, giving the set a distinctive multicoloured finish alongside its active electronics. The pickups use short-shaft 10 mm controls, specified for Strat-style installations.

EMG’s Solderless Install System is included, with two 25k volume pots, two 25k tone pots, battery bus, stereo output jack, two-pickup in/out bus, mounting hardware, pickup cables, connect cables, output cable and battery cable.

At Riffs & Licks Music, we think this active humbucker set is aimed at players who want Kirk Hammett’s Bone Breaker voicing with strong high-gain definition, a smoother neck option and a distinctive limited-edition finish.
