EMG HET JH James Hetfield Signature Active Humbucker Pickup Set Floyd Rose Spacing 52mm Short Shaft 10mm Sandblasted

Hetfield’s JH Set with 52 mm Spacing and a Limited 2026 Sandblasted Finish

The EMG JH James Hetfield Signature Set combines the JH-N neck and JH-B bridge pickups in an active humbucker pair built around high output, tight attack and strong definition. The JH-N uses individual ceramic poles with larger, taller cores than the EMG 60 design, giving the neck position more attack, higher output and a fuller low end.

The JH-B bridge pickup uses the same core approach but replaces the bar magnets found in an EMG 81 with steel pole pieces. That lowers inductance and keeps the bottom end cleaner while retaining the fast, controlled response that works well for precise rhythm playing.

This version combines 52 mm Floyd Rose spacing with short-shaft 10 mm controls. Custom sandblasted stainless-steel caps mark EMG’s 50th anniversary and are available only during 2026. The Solderless Install System includes two 25k Volume pots, two 25k Tone pots, battery bus, stereo output jack, two-pickup in/out bus, mounting hardware and all required connection cables.

At Riffs & Licks Music, we think this active humbucker set is especially useful for players who need both 52 mm bridge spacing and short-shaft controls, while the limited sandblasted finish gives the JH set a distinctive anniversary look.
