EMG HET JH James Hetfield Signature Active Humbucker Pickup Set Floyd Rose Spacing 52mm Brushed Gold

52 mm Floyd Rose Spacing with Hetfield’s Tight, High-Output JH Voicing

The EMG JH James Hetfield Signature Set pairs the JH-N neck and JH-B bridge pickups in an active humbucker setup designed to retain plenty of output while bringing in more of the clarity and punch associated with passive pickups. The JH-N uses individual ceramic poles with larger, taller cores than the EMG 60 design, giving the neck position increased attack, higher output and a fuller low end.

The JH-B takes a different approach, using steel pole pieces rather than the bar magnets found in an EMG 81. That construction reduces inductance, helping the bridge stay tighter and cleaner through the low end while preserving the immediate attack that works well for fast, articulate rhythm playing.

This version uses 52 mm Floyd Rose spacing, matching the wider string spread found on compatible Floyd Rose-equipped guitars. Brushed Gold stainless steel Metal Works caps give the set a distinctive satin metallic finish, while EMG’s Solderless Install System supplies the 25k pots, battery bus, output jack, pickup bus, mounting hardware and connection cables needed for installation.

At Riffs & Licks Music, we think this active humbucker set is a strong fit for players who need 52 mm bridge spacing and want the JH set’s mix of high output, controlled low end and aggressive attack in a standout Brushed Gold finish.
