EMG HET JH James Hetfield Signature Active Humbucker Pickup Set Brushed Chrome

Active Output with More Passive-Style Punch and Definition

The EMG JH James Hetfield Signature Set was developed to combine the power of an active pickup with more of the clarity and punch associated with passive designs. The JH-N neck pickup uses individual ceramic poles with larger, taller cores than the EMG 60 design, increasing attack and output while giving the neck position a fuller low end.

At the bridge, the JH-B uses steel pole pieces rather than the bar magnet construction of an EMG 81. That change reduces inductance, helping keep the bottom end cleaner while retaining the tight attack expected from a high-output active bridge pickup.

This version is finished with Brushed Chrome stainless steel Metal Works caps for a clean, understated look. EMG’s Solderless Install System is included with two 25k Volume pots, two 25k Tone pots, battery bus, stereo output jack, two-pickup in/out bus, mounting hardware and all required pickup, connection, output and battery cables.

At Riffs & Licks Music, we think this active humbucker set is for players who want the immediacy and output of EMGs with a more defined low end, strong attack and a broader sense of clarity from both positions.
