The Electro-Harmonix Percolator Harmonic Saturator is an analogue fuzz pedal inspired by the cult-classic 1970s Harmonic Percolator circuit. Its asymmetrical clipping emphasises even-order harmonics, giving the pedal a reactive feel that can move from raunchy overdrive to ripping heavy fuzz depending on settings and playing dynamics.

The HARMONICS control adjusts input gain, ranging from smoother drive to full fuzz destruction, while BALANCE sets the overall output level. The BIAS control changes the gain circuit response, opening up smooth drive, pseudo-octave fuzz and Velcro-style gated textures.

The DRIVE/FUZZ toggle lifts or engages the clipping diodes, letting the pedal act more like a raw transistor drive in DRIVE mode or a heavier fuzz in FUZZ mode. An internal trim pot can enhance sub-octave tones and add extra gain, while mechanical relay true bypass and latching/momentary footswitch operation give practical control on stage.
