The Electro-Harmonix Nano Operation Overlord Allied Overdrive is a mono analogue overdrive and distortion pedal built for players who want one flexible drive box across guitar, bass or keyboards. This nano-sized version keeps the core Operation Overlord drive character in a smaller mono format for rigs that do not need stereo inputs and outputs.
Normal mode uses three amp-like JFET gain stages for low to medium gain sounds, covering clean boost-style push, edge-of-breakup response and sweet crunch. Switch to Boost mode and the pedal adds a pedal-style overdrive circuit before the JFET stages, giving you thicker distortion and more saturated drive.
A 3-position input level switch helps match the pedal to different instruments, while the active 3-band EQ gives you direct control over bass, midrange and treble shaping. The Dry blend control is especially useful for bass and keyboards, letting you keep articulation, harmonic detail and low-end foundation underneath the driven signal.
