The Eastman T486-GB 16" Deluxe Thinline Hollowbody is a traditional 16" thinline hollow-body which features a Deluxe Flame Maple Laminate body, Traditional Even C-profile Maple neck, and Ebony fingerboard, for smooth playability, and sweet vintage tone. A pair of Seymour Duncan humbuckers (a Jazz  in the neck and a '59 in the bridge) are perfect for warm, bluesy riffs, and smooth jazz licks, and can even handle it when you crank up the gain. The T486 features Eastman's Gloss TrueTone finish - TrueTone is an environmentally friendly finish, with the same consistency and superior tonal characteristics as nitrocellulose. Besides its premium tonewoods and pickups, the Eastman T486 has a range of other premium features, such as Jescar fretwire, Gotoh hardware, and Switchcraft and CTS electronics.

The tightly compressed laminate woods of Eastman's laminated maple bodies and tops dampen down overtones created by solid woods, and lend themselves to perfect tone production in louder environments. Every one of Eastman's laminated thinlines has a center block that runs the length of the body right down the center, which aids in the suppression of feedback and reinforces the top.
