Throaty Oval-Hole Tone with Compact A-Style Comfort
The left-handed Eastman MD304 pairs an A-style body with an oval soundhole for a more vocal, throaty character than an F-hole design, with a natural sense of ambience that suits Celtic, folk and mandolin ensemble playing. Its solid Spruce top and solid Maple back and sides provide a bright, responsive acoustic foundation, while the teardrop body keeps the instrument compact and comfortable.
The Maple neck is matched with an Ebony fingerboard and 304.8 mm (12”) radius, with 23 Jescar frets across a 352.4 mm (13.88”) scale. A 27.8 mm (1.09”) bone nut and adjustable compensated Ebony bridge complete the playing setup.
Handcrafted by Eastman luthiers, the MD304 features a Satin finish, Ivoroid top binding, Diamond Pattern rosette, Nickel hardware, Proline J-105 tuners and an Eastman cast Aluminium tailpiece. A Padded Gig Bag is included.
At Riffs & Licks Music, we think this left-handed mandolin is a great choice for folk, Celtic and ensemble players who want the warmer, more vocal response of an oval-hole A-style instrument with all-solid construction.
