A Modern Offset with Sculpted Comfort and Goldfoil-Covered Humbuckers

The Eastman FT-Offset'62-DR FullerTone '62 Offset in Dakota Red takes a modern approach to the offset guitar, with a body shape designed as much around comfort as visual character. Developed as one of Otto D’Ambrosio’s FullerTone designs and refined with input from Paul Davids, the roasted Black Limba body uses flowing contours and a bevelled back so the guitar settles naturally against you whether you’re seated or standing.

The roasted maple neck joins the body through Eastman’s FullerTone two-bolt long-tenon system. By extending the neck further into the body, the joint increases the contact area between the two pieces while leaving the heel smooth and unobtrusive. That means easier access higher up the neck, along with the resonance, sustain and stability Eastman designed the system to deliver. A Medium Round profile and rosewood fingerboard give the neck a fuller, more traditional feel rather than a thin modern carve.

The two Tonerider soapbar-sized humbuckers use custom goldfoil covers and are voiced for warmth, clarity and articulation. They give the guitar enough body for thicker chord work while keeping individual notes defined, with a three-way selector handling pickup changes. The circuit uses 500K audio-taper potentiometers and a 0.022μF Orange Drop capacitor.

The Göldo DG tremolo and three-point Vario bridge give the guitar its expressive side, allowing smooth vibrato from subtle movement through to more pronounced pitch shifts. Anodised aluminium appointments, nickel hardware, staggered six-in-line tuners and white control knobs finish off the Dakota Red Truetone Satin presentation.
