D'Addario NYXL Light Top/Heavy Bottom strings use a 10–52 gauge that keeps the treble strings comfortable for bends while adding more tension and depth on the bass side. Compared with a Regular Light set, the heavier lower strings bring a deeper low-end response without making the entire set feel overly stiff.

NYXL strings use an NY Steel core with reformulated nickel-plated steel wrap wire for increased break strength and improved tuning stability. Fusion Twist technology further helps the strings hold pitch, making the set well suited to players who push bends, rhythm work and repeated tuning changes hard.

The wrap wire also emphasises the midrange, adding extra presence and crunch so guitar parts can cut through a mix more clearly. The strings are uncoated and round wound, retaining a direct, familiar electric guitar feel.
