D'Addario EJ42 Resophonic Phosphor Bronze Resonator Strings 16-56

Purpose-Built 16–56 Phosphor Bronze Strings for Resonator Guitar

D'Addario EJ42 Resophonic strings use a 16–56 Medium gauge specifically optimised for resonator guitars. The heavier gauge gives this set a substantial feel, while the dedicated resophonic configuration makes it a more appropriate choice than a standard acoustic set for players using this type of instrument.

The wound strings are precision wrapped with phosphor bronze over hexagonal high-carbon steel cores. This construction delivers the warm, balanced tonal character associated with D'Addario Phosphor Bronze strings while retaining the clear, direct response of an uncoated round-wound design.

At Riffs & Licks Music, we think these resophonic guitar strings are a practical choice for players who want a dedicated 16–56 Medium set with the warmth and balance of phosphor bronze rather than adapting a conventional acoustic string set.
