All-Solid Spruce and Rosewood Tone with a Detailed Three-Way Pickup System

The Cole Clark CCSFL1EC-SR Studio Series is an all-solid dreadnought combining an A Grade Spruce top with A Grade Rosewood back and sides. The Spruce top gives the guitar a responsive acoustic foundation, while the Rosewood contributes extended low-frequency response and the fuller bottom end associated with this traditional tonewood pairing.

The African Mahogany neck uses Spanish Heel construction, where the neck continues into the body rather than being attached with a conventional bolt or dovetail joint. A Rosewood fingerboard with 20 frets, 304.8 mm (12") radius, 647.7 mm (25.5") scale and 44 mm (1.73") Graph Tech TUSQ nut provides familiar dreadnought proportions. The fretwork and nut are Plek dressed for precise setup. The PG3mk2 system combines a strip piezo, contact face sensor and condenser microphone. The piezo handles the low frequencies, the face sensor covers the mids from the 350 Hz crossover point, and the microphone enters at 6 kHz to add the extreme high-frequency detail. Poly Satin finish, timber binding, an inlaid abalone rosette and abalone dot markers complete the build. A heavy-duty Grey Cole Clark gig bag and pickguard are included.
