Softer Bigsby Response for Larger Archtop Guitars

The Bigsby B6 Vibrato Tailpiece in Polished Aluminium is designed for larger archtop guitars, including Gretsch 6120 and Gibson Super 400 models. A longer version of the B3, the B6 gives players smooth, expressive pitch movement while suiting bigger guitar bodies that do not need a top-mounted tension bar.

The lack of a tension bar creates a shallower break angle over the bridge, which gives the strings a softer feel under the fingers. That softer response makes the B6 well suited to subtle vibrato movement, chord shimmer and expressive pitch variation where the player wants a smoother touch rather than a firmer break angle.

USA precision made low-friction needle bearings help the string mounting bar return accurately to pitch. The tailpiece uses a cast aluminium frame with a stainless steel handle, and mounting hardware is included, with spring, washer, screws and felt pads supplied. The B6 mounts with three supplied screws near the strap button.
