Softer Bigsby Response for Thin Archtops and Carved-Top Guitars

The Bigsby B30 Licensed Bigsby Vibrato Tailpiece in Polished Aluminium is designed for thin archtops measuring 38.1 mm to 57.2 mm (1-1/2” to 2-1/4”), as well as carved-top solid body guitars. Based on the original B3, the B30 is commonly used where a tension bar is not required.

Without a tension bar, the B30 creates a shallower break angle over the bridge, giving the strings a softer feel under the fingers. That softer response suits subtle vibrato on sustained chords, gentle shimmer on open voicings and controlled pitch movement during melodic phrases.

The cast aluminium frame provides the main tailpiece structure, while the stainless steel handle gives the player a smooth point of control. Mounting hardware is included, with spring, washer, screws and felt pads supplied. The B30 mounts with four supplied screws near the strap button.
