Behringer WING-MADI WING Expansion Card For 64x64-Channel MADI Over LC Fiber Optic Or BNC Coaxial Connections

64×64-Channel MADI Connectivity with Flexible Fibre or Coaxial Redundancy

The Behringer WING-MADI expansion card adds 64×64-channel MADI connectivity to a WING system, carrying 24-bit audio at 48 kHz for high-channel-count live, broadcast and installation workflows. MADI provides a single digital connection between equipment such as consoles, stage boxes, recorders and format converters, reducing the cabling needed for large multichannel systems.

Two SFP slots let you match the card to existing single-mode or multimode fibre infrastructure simply by changing the transceiver. One 1310 nm SFP module with a duplex LC connection is included, supporting transmission up to 2 km over 62.5/125 µm multimode fibre. For shorter copper runs, 75-Ohm BNC coaxial connections support distances up to 100 m.

Redundancy can use SFP1 with SFP2 or SFP1 with the BNC connection, providing a secondary signal path if the primary link fails.

At Riffs & Licks Music, we think this WING expansion card is ideal for broadcast, live production and installed systems that need high-channel-count MADI with adaptable fibre connectivity and redundant transmission options.
