The Behringer UB-1 MICRO is a compact programmable analogue synthesizer built around two DCOs and a classic 4-pole filter. Its 3396/3397 analogue chip design provides the foundation for a distinctly '80s-style voice, while separate VCF and VCA envelopes give you independent control over how the filter and volume respond over time.

Two LFOs can modulate filter behaviour and oscillator tuning, opening up everything from subtle movement to more obvious pitch and tonal modulation. A three-pattern arpeggiator with Hold adds instant rhythmic motion, while 16 touch-sensitive keys let you play and program ideas without connecting an external keyboard.

Thirty-two presets are included, with further programming and patch management available through the SynthTribe app. Six function buttons and an OLED display handle editing, while USB-C provides both power and MIDI connectivity from a smartphone, power bank or computer. Comprehensive USB/MIDI implementation includes CC control of all parameters plus bulk load/save.
