Behringer SKIES Granular Audio Processor Module For Eurorack

Real-Time Granular Processing for Textures, Drones and Glitched Sound Design

The Behringer SKIES is a granular audio processor for Eurorack that transforms incoming audio from your modular system in real time. Granular processing breaks audio into tiny segments, or grains, which can then overlap, shift in pitch, stretch, reverse and smear together to create anything from subtle ambience to dense drones and fragmented rhythmic textures.

Position, Size, Pitch, Density and Texture controls give you direct access to how those grains are generated and manipulated. The Blend section adds control over stereo spread, feedback and reverb, while Freeze captures a moment from the audio buffer so you can hold it as a sustained texture, loop or evolving pad.

SKIES supports stereo or mono recording and selectable resolution from 8-bit/16 kHz through to 16-bit/32 kHz. Extensive CV inputs allow its processing parameters to move dynamically within a patch.

At Riffs & Licks Music, we think this granular Eurorack processor is ideal for modular users who want to turn live audio sources into shifting ambience, glitches, drones and evolving soundscapes rather than simply playing back stored samples.

Please Note: SKIES is an audio processor and does not generate sound on its own.
