The Behringer Ring Stinger combines analogue ring modulation with fuzz circuitry and integrated VCO and LFO control, creating complex harmonic textures that move far beyond standard distortion. Ring modulation generates metallic overtones and sidebands by multiplying your input signal with an internal carrier. This process produces inharmonic, bell-like or dissonant tones that shift dramatically as frequency and depth are adjusted.

A dedicated VCO adds pitch-based modulation and can be shaped with selectable waveforms including sine, triangle, sawtooth and square. The LFO offers rhythmic modulation patterns with waveform selection and depth control, allowing tremolo-like pulses, sweeping textures or chaotic oscillations. Blend and Drive controls determine how aggressively the fuzz interacts with the modulated signal, while the Timbre and filter shaping tools refine harmonic content.

Expression and CV inputs (0–5 V) allow external control of LFO depth and VCO frequency, and a Carrier In expands routing possibilities. True bypass preserves the dry signal when disengaged, and standard 9 V DC power integrates with pedalboard setups.
