Eight-Voice Analogue Polyphony with Classic BBD Chorus and Hands-On Control
The Behringer JN-80 is an eight-voice analogue polyphonic synthesizer inspired by the Juno 60, built around DCOs, a 3109-based 24 dB low-pass VCF and 662 VCA architecture. Saw, square and pulse-width waveforms are joined by a one-octave-down sub-oscillator and global noise generator, giving you a broad foundation for basses, leads, pads and layered textures.
Poly, Unison and Double modes change how the eight voices are allocated, while the multi-stage BBD chorus adds the wide, animated modulation central to this style of synth. A 49-key semi-weighted full-size keyboard provides velocity sensitivity and aftertouch, with spring-loaded pitch and modulation wheels for expressive playing.
The arpeggiator offers Up, Down and Up-Down modes with manual or external tempo control. You also get 256 user program memories with Compare and Match, an LCD with encoder, polyphonic portamento, CV/pedal inputs and comprehensive MIDI control.
At Riffs & Licks Music, we think this analogue synthesizer is ideal for players who want classic eight-voice polyphonic character with modern patch storage, expressive keys and direct sound-shaping controls.
