Behringer HB01 Hellbabe Analogue Wah Pedal w/ Optical Control

Customisable Wah Sweeps with Optical Control and Adjustable Spring Return

The Behringer HB01 Hellbabe is an analogue wah pedal for guitar and bass with optical treadle control, avoiding the mechanical potentiometer used to operate many traditional wah designs. Its heel-down Range control adjusts the lower end of the sweep from 440 Hz down to 250 Hz, letting you move the response into a lower range that also works well with bass. Fine Tune extends the upper end of the sweep as high as 2.2 kHz.

The Q control changes the shape and intensity of the filter response, letting you move from broader sweeps to more pronounced, vocal-like wah effects. A switchable Boost provides up to +15 dB of additional level when you want the effected sound to push forward, with separate LED indicators showing effect and boost status.

The spring-back treadle automatically returns when released, with adjustable resistance to change how the pedal responds underfoot; the spring mechanism can also be removed. Ultra-low-noise circuitry and a rubberised treadle complete a design intended for expressive hands-free filter control.

At Riffs & Licks Music, we think this analogue wah pedal is ideal for guitarists and bassists who want more control over sweep range, filter character and pedal response than a conventional fixed-voicing wah provides.
