Ultra-linear omnidirectional capture for accurate room analysis

The Behringer ECM PRO is a back-electret condenser measurement microphone designed for room calibration, monitor alignment and real-time acoustic analysis. Its omnidirectional polar pattern captures sound evenly from all directions, providing an unbiased representation of the room rather than emphasising a single source. This characteristic is essential when measuring how a space colours frequency response.

The microphone delivers an exceptionally linear frequency response extending up to 30 kHz, allowing detailed analysis of high-frequency behaviour alongside low-end room modes. With a maximum SPL of 132 dB and 600 Ω impedance, it is suitable for use with professional sound systems during calibration procedures. The ECM PRO operates on standard +48 V phantom power and integrates with real-time analysers and processors for system tuning.

A gold-plated XLR connector supports signal integrity, and the package includes a microphone clamp, 3/8" to 5/8" thread adapter and protective carrying case.

At Riffs & Licks Music, we think the ECM PRO is ideal for engineers, system techs and studio users who need accurate, omnidirectional measurement data to tune rooms and PA systems with precision rather than guesswork.
