Behringer D MINI Analogue Paraphonic Portable Legendary Desktop Synthesizer

Portable Paraphonic Analogue Synthesis with Classic Low-Pass Filtering

The Behringer D MINI is a compact paraphonic analogue desktop synthesizer inspired by classic 1970s MiniMoog designs. Its single VCO offers five selectable waveforms — saw, triangle, sharktooth, square and pulse — giving you a useful range of starting points for basses, leads, effects and more experimental sounds.

A resonant low-pass filter provides the sweeping, vocal character associated with this style of analogue synthesis, while a four-waveform LFO can modulate pitch or filter cutoff. The VCA has its own dedicated envelope, with variable envelope amount also available for the filter so each note can change in brightness as it develops.

White and pink noise have their own level control, opening up percussion, effects and textured sounds alongside the oscillator waveforms. Twenty-seven touch keys and 18 direct controls keep sound shaping immediate, while USB-C power allows operation from a smartphone, power bank or computer.

At Riffs & Licks Music, we think this paraphonic desktop synthesizer is ideal for musicians who want compact analogue sound design with a straightforward single-VCO architecture, flexible modulation and classic resonant filter behaviour.
