The Behringer C-2 Dark Edition is a matched pair of small-diaphragm cardioid condenser microphones designed for stereo recording in studio and live environments. The matched capsules help maintain consistent response between the two microphones, making them well suited to XY, ORTF and spaced-pair techniques across sources such as acoustic guitar, piano, drum overheads and ensembles.

Each microphone covers 20 Hz–20 kHz and handles sound pressure levels up to 150 dB, giving the pair useful range from quieter acoustic sources through to louder instruments. A switchable low-frequency roll-off helps reduce unwanted rumble, handling noise and wind, while the 10 dB pad provides extra headroom for hotter sources.

The cardioid pickup pattern focuses capture toward the front of each microphone, and the transformerless FET input supports clean signal transfer. +48 V phantom power is required. A stereo mounting bar, shockmounts, windscreens and carrying case are included.
