The Beale AK280 gives beginners a 61-key touch-sensitive keyboard with three dynamic response levels, so the sound follows how firmly you play rather than staying at one fixed volume. Its 128-note polyphony leaves plenty of room for chords, layered sounds and accompaniment parts, while 633 onboard sounds cover pianos, organs, guitars, orchestral instruments, synths and drums.

There are 220 arranger Styles for building full backing parts around your playing, plus 150 Songs and a Music Tutor system with timing, note-accuracy and complete-performance practice modes. The chord dictionary helps you work out unfamiliar shapes, while the Harmony function automatically adds harmony notes to your right-hand part for a fuller sound.

Split and Layer modes let you divide or stack sounds, and a pitch-bend wheel adds extra expression. USB MIDI connects the AK280 to a computer, with Aux In, Mic In, headphone and sustain connections also provided. An AC power supply and detachable music stand are included, with battery operation supported for portable use.
