Shape a Bigger, More Expressive Bass Sound Before It Hits the PA

The Baggs Stadium DI is an analogue electric bass preamp and direct box built to give you far more control than plugging straight into a PA. Its all-discrete signal path starts with adjustable Gain, while the Growl control adds low-frequency saturation for extra thickness and harmonic content without stripping away the fundamental note. Hit the Drive switch and that saturation expands across the full frequency range for a more aggressive overdriven sound.

Comp-EQ uses three bands of dynamic tone shaping that respond to how hard you play, smoothing problem frequencies without flattening your dynamics. The Attack control moves between a rounder response and sharper string definition, while the Fat switch boosts 150 Hz by either 3 dB or 6 dB when you want more weight through the mix.

A VU meter helps optimise gain, while the XLR Pad switches between -10 dBV and +4 dBu output levels. Ground Lift, XLR and 6.35 mm (1/4") outputs are also provided. Power comes from a 9V battery / 9V 500 mA supply / 48V phantom power (not included), and a custom Baggs carrying case is included.
